Asia Low Carbon Buildings Transition (ALCBT) Project | Buildings Registry in India

The Asia Low Carbon Buildings Transition (ALCBT) Project invites building owners, occupants, developers, and government departments to express their interest (EOI) in receiving technical assistance for implementing pilot projects aimed at reducing carbon emissions in existing buildings. Selected buildings will undergo a comprehensive assessment and receive support in implementing low-carbon solutions in collaboration with Energy Efficiency Services Ltd. (EESL).

Why Participate?

✔ Building Energy Insights – Gain valuable data on your building’s energy use.
✔ Potential Cost & Energy Savings – Identify opportunities for reducing energy consumption and expenses.
✔ Technical Support – Possibility of assistance in implementing energy-saving measures.

Submission Process:

1. Submission of EOI: Building owners or authorities interested in participating in the pilot projects must register their interest through this E- Form. Registration requires providing all the information (mandatory) for the selection.
2. Evaluation and Selection: Submitted EOIs will be evaluated based on a matrix with the following selection criteria:
– Consent for Intervention: The building owner or authority must provide consent for the intervention and register the building.
– Investment Plan: There must be an approved investment plan by the building authority.
– Energy/Carbon Saving Potential: The building must show good potential for energy or carbon savings.
– Compliance with ECBC/Eco-Niwas Samhita: The building must qualify for all other criteria under the Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC) or Eco-Niwas Samhita.

Expected Outcomes:
1. Technical Assistance: – Selected buildings will receive technical assistance from GGGI and EESL for implementing low-carbon measures. – Detailed energy audits and assessments will be conducted to identify specific interventions for reducing carbon emissions.

2. Pilot Implementation: – A tailored scheme for implementing low-carbon measures will be developed for each selected building in consultation with EESL. – EESL will likely invest in these pilot projects through ESCO/Non-ESCO models, providing financial and technical support.

This form will take less than 20 minutes to complete.

About ALCBT project
The ALCBT Project is a five-year, multi-stakeholder initiative facilitating the transition to Low Carbon Buildings in Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. In India, the project is implemented under the guidance of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), engaging public and private sector stakeholders to develop technical, planning, and institutional tools that drive low-carbon adoption and measurable emissions reductions by 2028.

The project is led by the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) in partnership with Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) (India), HEAT International (Germany), and the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE). It is supported by the Government of Germany through the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) under the International Climate Initiative (IKI).
