ALCBT Vietnam

Vietnam has committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and moving its construction sector toward net-zero emissions by 2050. The country has introduced energy-efficiency requirements for buildings, but wider implementation remains challenging due to limited technical capacity, access to financing and incentives, and enforcement.

In partnership with the Ministry of Construction, the ALCBT Project supports Vietnam in strengthening monitoring, reporting, and verification systems for the building sector; developing a national building registry; and improving the implementation of building energy codes. The project also works to enhance the capacity of government officials and industry professionals, promote energy-efficient and low-carbon building materials, and establish financing pathways for low-carbon buildings across the country.
