ALCBT Thailand

In Thailand, the buildings sector accounted for 20.9% of final energy consumption in 2018, with emissions driven by construction, material production, and electricity use, particularly for cooling and building systems.

Implemented from 2023 to 2028 in collaboration with Thailand’s Ministry of Energy, the initiative supports national targets to reduce emissions by up to 40% by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. Key actions include strengthening building codes, standardizing carbon management tools, promoting energy-efficient design, mobilizing finance, and building technical capacity.

Through a multi-stakeholder approach, the project aims to accelerate the transition to low-carbon buildings and foster a strong market for energy-efficient technologies and services.
